Faith / Commerce / Stewardship

Biblical business principles, practised — not just quoted.

Most Christian entrepreneurs have been told to “keep God first” in business and then left to figure out the rest alone. This page is the bridge: the principles we build on at Stewards Collective, and the frameworks that turn each one into something you can actually do on Monday morning.

01 / What are they?

Principles you can run a P&L by.

A biblical business principle is a conviction drawn from Scripture about how work, money, value and people should be treated — then held together with commercial competence. Scripture doesn’t teach pricing strategy, but it does teach honest scales, faithful work, generosity and stewardship of what you’ve been entrusted with. A business built on biblical principles is one where those convictions shape the decisions: what you sell, how you sell it, what you charge, and where the profit goes.

Faith supplies the “why” and the boundaries. Commerce supplies the skill. You need both — conviction without competence builds nothing, and competence without conviction builds something you shouldn’t attach your name to.

02 / The frameworks

Seven principles. Seven frameworks.

One framework each month inside Stewards — each grounded in a biblical principle and taught as a practical system.

  1. 01

    Genesis 1:28

    Dominion Mindset

Work was given before the fall — building, cultivating and taking responsibility for a piece of the world is part of the original assignment, not a compromise of faith. Business becomes an act of stewardship rather than something to feel guilty about.

  2. 02

    Proverbs 18:16

    Calling-Market Fit

“A man’s gift makes room for him.” The goal is to find where your God-given gift meets a real problem people will pay to solve — calling that is useful, not just sincere.

  3. 03

    Luke 16:10

    The First Rand Path

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much.” We start with the first honest sale — small, real revenue — before scaling anything. Faithfulness in the first rand trains you for everything after it.

  4. 04

    Colossians 4:5

    Post-to-Sell Cadence

“Make the best use of the time.” Consistent, honest visibility — showing your work and your offers regularly — treated as wise stewardship of attention rather than self-promotion.

  5. 05

    Proverbs 11:1

    The Conviction Sale

“A false balance is an abomination to the LORD.” Selling with conviction and selling with manipulation are not the same thing. We teach you to present real value plainly and let the offer stand on its merits.

  6. 06

    Galatians 6:2

    The SA Trust Bridge

Businesses are built in community, not isolation. Bearing one another’s burdens — referrals, honest feedback, shared experience — is how young South African entrepreneurs earn trust their marketing alone can’t buy.

  7. 07

    Deuteronomy 8:18

    Kingdom Profit Split

“Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth.” Profit is a tool, not an idol: we teach you to decide on purpose where money goes — provision, generosity, reinvestment — instead of letting it decide for you.

03 / Faith and commerce

You don’t have to separate your faith from your business.

The marketplace is not a compromise of your calling — it’s one of the places your calling gets tested. Stewards Collective exists to help young Christian entrepreneurs develop the conviction, commercial competence and practical systems required to build meaningful businesses without leaving either half at the door.

Your next step doesn’t need to be complicated.

Start with one framework. This month.
